Greetings,

First I would like to thank everyone for their help and advice with the overheating issue. New Innovative Fan Harness, 160 T-stat, And PCMforless.com PCM installed. Everything is working as advertised except the temp gauge.
Replaced both Temp sensors and no change. Verified with a scanner that the engine coolant temp is 180 deg when the primary fan kicks on but the gauge reads like 130. Was going to post a picture of the gauge but don't remember the drill.
Anyway looks like you have to change the entire instrument panel? So what should I be trying first, I was thinking maybe wiring or a bad ground?

The gauge should be thought of more like an idiot light. Thats about where mine stays with a 160 degree thermostat, electric water pump, and programming. I have also seen the same thing in several other cars with similar mods. Your gauge is fine.

+1 on that's where the gauge sits. I did 160 stat and not tuned yet...
so that is where it goes when you change from 180 to 160 and the rest of the car is STOCK.

nothing wrong with your car man... keep truckin'
