Dont do the Continentals, for some reason they are very inconsistent.

Their is a thread on the other forum right now that talks about this.

Cant go wrong with the Nitto 555's. I had them for a while and loved them, I am now running the INVO's with no complaints.

What would Snake do?

I have the Kuhmo Ecsta SPTs but from all the reviews I might just try the ASX next and have a winter rated tire. Am happy with the SPTs though.

I am running Nexen ... they work OK, they are round and wide and cheap.

Hopefully this is temporary until I get "SBCA96" working again.

Im running Falkens, can't remember the exact model but its the only model that fits our rims, overpriced and not impressive whatsoever. they wear out fast too! and I don't corner hard at all.

WOW !!!

A thread where I agree with 'buh' AND Dwayne !

Anyway.......all weather tire.....get the Kumho ASXs.

Summer only (or warm climate) tire.....get the Kumho SPTs.

I've done them both and loved them both!

Ain't seen KW in a while - :)

Don't go with SPT's in any sort of snow - death will ensue, ask me how I know this.

Yeah......I've been all kinds of busy this summer!

This is both a good thing and a bad thing.......but it's served to keep me off the forums for the most part, since mid-May or so.

after having to drive 40 mph on the KDWS years ago, i vowed no more BFG ever again, plus they are noisy

then i got the conti extreme contact and they were the best i ever had..quiet, fantastic in rain and the bit of snow i drove them in. But when it came time to replace them, i was told they dont carry them in my size anymore.

now i'm on kumho asx and love them too. i'd say right up there with conti. I drove thru torential rainstorms at highway speeds and have all the confidence in the world. Plus they are cheap tires relatively speaking. I drive 140 miles a day so have 'tested' these in many different conditions.

my jeep has some kind of all season michelins on, i forget which (ltz maybe??), and they are great for getting thru 2 feet of snow, but i dont think your SS will be doing that anytime soon :)

95 DCM 178K stock except for Borla......87 caprice became my snow car in 2000 and it was laid to "rust" in 10/07 with 338K. Rebuilt trans at 308,000 (lasted pretty long I think); new radiator 330,000 (they said it literally disintegrated when they took it off)
