LOOK FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE!!!

Well from what we can tell, someone tried to steal the 95 outside the hotel this morning around 2:15. Last week when my dad went outside he noticed that the back door was open and everyone that was present was sure that it was closed when they all went in. We believe that the attempted thief went into the car to get the key code off the center console of the car to get a key at the dealership. Little did the thief know that the console was swapped out from a 96 ss to install the floor shifter, so when he came back this morning to steal the car, the key did not work. He then proceeded to disconnect and reconnect the power, i think me must have thought vats was messed up or something, idk? Then since he could not start the car he proceeded to slash the tires!

Anyone else heard any reports of attempted ss thefts in the Nashville area???

If we catch him trying to steal it again, he will have 15 rounds of 9mm ammo in him

On the inside of the console there is a code that the dealership is suppose to ask for when you get a key made when you bought an ss the keys had what gm called "knock outs" in the keys they also contained the same code, refer to your owners manual :D . Look inside your center console on the drivers side. I'll take a pic of mine and upload it! It should be next to the one for the wheel lock key also. Note: my 95 is on the only b-body i have owned so far that has this! Dunno why

I’ve never seen that before, kind of sounds like something a dealer might have done. As for having a key made, you can give the VIN to any GM dealer and they can make a key from that, there supposed to ask for ID and the registration.
I have a piece of paper between the dash and windshield covering the VIN to help prevent that. But I also know that if someone really wants the car there going to get it one way or another. I’m just not going to make it that simple for them. I worked in Nashville for an extended period of time, while there I remember reading about quite a few car thefts. And I’m pretty sure they’re going to be gang related, so be on guard and watch your back. Your car may have attracted someone’s attention.
My advice, add an alarm and a hidden fuel pump cut off switch.

My Impala has two 24 hour night vision security cameras on it.

Tom

Hopefully this is temporary until I get "SBCA96" working again.

Covering the VIN in some states is considered illegal....
Yeah, if they really want it, they will take it no matter what.

I don't know if it's just me or does anyone else think shooting someone for trying to steal your car a little excessive? Isn't that what insurance is for? Just wondering.

Probably just banter. Yes, it would result in a murder charge. No use giving up your own life over a material possession.

Thats why you need to do what I do whenever I catch someone in the act of trying to steal my car.

After you shoot them dead, you break a window (preferably back door variety), then drag them into your living room and say they broke in the house while you were sleeping and you were protecting yourself. Oh yeah, wear gloves, I usually sport the black Mechanix.

Note: fill up their pockets with the wifes jewelry, their scumbagg defense attorney never questions me on the subject, and I always walk.

When it comes to my SS, and some POS trying to take it from me.....exceSSive is my middle name.

What would Snake do?

I like it!!!
Don't forget to have someone help carry his legs, that way you don't leave drag marks in the yard......

Welp got back home from vacation tonight walked into my house and found it had been ransacked! I went for my m4 assault riffle and found out it was gone, so i went for my ruger p94 which they had missed when ransacking the house! They stole the m4, jewlry, my dv2000 laptop, and the keys to my 96 ss! They attempted to steal the car too but the garage door was c clamped shut and they couldn't figure it out! So they got the keys but no car! Firs the 95 now my 96 and guns!!!!

Oh and they went into my garage and got my drill and attempted to drill into my guns safe to steal the rest of my guns! Also got away with some of my great grandmothers jewelry that was worth thousands!!!

God now im really getting pissed and i will kill you!!!!!!! Don't care how long the prison sentence is, i've been in the leo game and they wont even try to catch em so i will!

I have a suspect in mind, and i know that the person is a druggy and pawns stuff for cash, so i will be hitting all the pawn shops in town in about 6 hours with a pic of the person and the serial numbers on my laptop and m4!

Oh and where can i get a new ignition cylinder and key set for my car since they have my keys?
